ABOUT

Made by a timer who has run races for the past 20 years.

The story

From the timing hut to one platform.

I’ve timed ski races for 20 years, mostly in New Zealand. Over that time technology changed everything around us, while race day still ran on the same frustrations. I knew it could be done better.

Timing has always been my winter job, and a love-hate one. I spent years pushing the sport, and timing services in particular, towards the future, and kept running into the same resistance to doing things better, day to day and on event day. I’ve always loved technology and taught myself enough coding and web design to know it could be done much better.

When I sold my adventure company I had no new goal, and my winter job had run out of challenges. I was ready to quit. Then AI changed what one person can build. I could have written much of it myself, but it would have taken years. So I set out to build a small platform just for me, to make race day and entries easier.

I showed the idea at a TD update meeting. The room was excited and full of ideas, so I spent the next six weeks, twelve hours a day, getting a race-ready version for the season. It was a huge success. Some people resisted, as they always do, but those open to it said the same thing across the board: I wish we had this in Europe, or in the US.

We kept developing all season, and by the end of it I went all in. This is where my knowledge and experience give us a real advantage. Now I’m building the best all-in-one event platform there is, and bringing the world into the future of timing.

Privacy and security

Your club's data stays your club's.

Sealed workspaces

Every club is separated in the database itself.

Encrypted keys

Nightly off-site backups, restore-tested every month.

NZ Privacy Act & GDPR

Privacy tools built in.

Your choice on cookies

Analytics and ad cookies only if you say yes. Change it any time.

Cookies

Cookies, analytics and the Meta pixel.

We use one necessary cookie to remember your choice, for 6 months. Everything else waits for your yes.

Analytics

PostHog shows us which pages are used, where visitors come from (including campaign links) and which buttons they click. It only runs if you accept analytics, and it never runs if your browser sends Do Not Track. It sets PostHog cookies (ph_…) and stores data with PostHog in the United States.

Session replay

With analytics on, PostHog also records how a page is used: clicks, scrolling and page changes, so we can fix what is confusing. Everything you type, and all text inside forms, is hidden before it leaves your browser.

The Meta pixel

A small piece of code from Meta Platforms. It only runs if you accept marketing cookies. It then sets Meta cookies (_fbp, _fbc) and tells Meta which pages you visit here and when you book a demo or start free, so we spend our advertising where it helps clubs find us.

Retargeting

Meta can use it to show you Race Bureau ads on Facebook and Instagram after you’ve visited. Meta handles that data under its own privacy policy, and it may be processed outside New Zealand.

How to opt out

Choose Reject, or open Cookie settings at the foot of any page and switch Analytics or Marketing off. What you switch off stops and its cookies are removed. You can also manage ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

Come and see it at a race.
